Report Writing levels of coverage

Our report writing services allow you to choose the format most suitable for your meeting from the following levels of coverage:

  • Full transcript (for a speech or works council)
  • Revised report (for a debate or management meeting)

More concise than verbatim, reports are complete documents that use a light touch revision to produce a document that can standalone as a readable version of events.  It will correct grammatical errors and removes false starts making it a publishable but detailed record of proceedings.

What are the different types of reports?

Definition of Full Transcript

16-19 pages per meeting hour

Full Transcripts are ideal for:

  • transcripts of Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
  • transcripts of plenary sessions
  • Financial results

The Full Transcript effectively retains everything that is said with the exception of hesitations and housekeeping remarks.  Emphasis is given to readability – so vocabulary and grammar can be altered to give the smoothest possible reading experience.

Taking up a question asked earlier about our capex programme, we just re-prioritised it and took £300 million out of £2.2 billion. We have taken some action in respect to 2005, as my statement and the directors’ report make quite clear. We have brought the expenditure back from the year 2006 onwards to a more normal level of about £400 million. That is just being prudent and sensible. If we see that conditions are better next year, and we believe they will be because indicators are good, there are many places where we could walk on site tomorrow because we own the properties that we want to develop.

Hi there, everyone.  Welcome back from lunch.  Hope you enjoyed those excellent sandwiches that were laid on.  I’ll take the next question – that is, taking up a question that someone asked earlier.  On the capex programme, someone asked about the capex programme – we just re-prioritised it and took £300 million, I think that was the figure, yes, £300 million out of £2.2 billion.  We’ve taken some action in respect to 2005, as my statement and the directors’ report make quite clear.  Well, we’ve brought the expenditure back. We’ve brought the expenditure back from the year 2006 onwards to a more normal level of about £400 million. It’s prudent – that is just being prudent and sensible.  If we see that conditions next year – and we believe that they should be better next year – we believe that because indicators are good – then there are a whole lot of places where we could just go ahead and walk on site tomorrow, because the properties we want to develop, we already own them.

Definition of Revised Report

11-12 pages per meeting hour

Revised Reports are ideal for:

  • roundtables
  • seminars
  • company wide briefings

Revised reports are not simply transcribed accounts of meetings.  The flow of words is simplified and the content is paraphrased.  This reduces page yield by up to 60% whilst giving an excellent record of what was said.

We have re-prioritised our capex programme to take £300 million out of its budget of £2.2 billion as of 2005. Our statements have made it quite clear that we have brought the expenditure back from 2006 to a more normal level of about £400 million per year, which is just being prudent and sensible. If we see that conditions are better next year, and we believe they will be, there are many places where we could walk on site tomorrow because we own the properties we want to develop.
